Overview
Fit to Fashion boutique is a trendy clothing store located in downtown Terrace, British Columbia. This is founded by me (Pammi Kumari), who is graduated from a fashion institute in India with a passion for fashion and all things modern and trendy. To start this business, I contacted my classmates and fashion designers from my college to get some business ideas. It was my dream to open my own boutique which is going to come true. I researched the local market to understand the business and found suppliers who can source me good quality materials (fabrics and accessories) at a reasonable cost.
Fit to Fashion boutique will offer modern and trendy designs of clothing especially Indian attire which is hard to get here in Canada. We offer party wear dresses and casual dresses for men and women aged group (14-50 years). My store also carries a small assortment of children’s clothing for those who are fashion conscious for their children. We also offer customization and alteration as per the customer’s need. If our customer will like our clothes and services provided by us and they request us that they want more variety and style apart from Indian attire so in future we will think about it and make Indo Western clothes.
Product and sizes offering
The following products are to be offered in my store such as:
- Women’s clothing size (S – XXL)
- Men’s clothing size (S- XXL)
- Boys and girls size (S – XL)
- Small selection of jewellery which fit with the garments
- Handmade purses
- Mojaris (Indian traditional shoes)
Note: Handmade purses which are hand made by Indian artisans and take time make.
Target Customer
The company’s target customer is the fashion-conscious youth and middle-aged group people of Terrace who are searching for something trendy and unique styles for them and also offers stylish attire for boys and girls.
Management Team
Fit to Fashion Boutique is solely and primarily operated by me (Pammi Kumari) and I am the responsible person who makes all management and financial decisions. There will be two more employees in the store who will help me in my business one stitching master and one cashier. My store will be open six days a week. I will also employ the help of 1 or 2 additional part-time hourly employees to grow my business.
Marketing
It is a B2C business, where customers can easily purchase any items which they like. However, there are plenty of shops available in the market but it is a plus point for my business that there is no such kind of shop that offers Indian attires in the town of Terrace. So, we will grab this opportunity and give our best service to our customers to make a good relationship with them. I know that nowadays online shopping is more popular but according tome, sometimes customers are cheated during the shopping, sometimes they do not get the right quality or fitting of the clothes. I want to provide both types of services to my customers so that they can come to the store and see the quality, style and design of the clothes with their own eyes and decide to buy the clothes. That’s why i have kept both online and offline choices for my customers.
We will also sell our products on our website which is not in service now but very soon we will also launch our website where customers can easily purchase according to their desire. However, we have our social media website where we post our product’s design where people can take a screenshot and DM (direct message) us to know about the price, sizes of the products, and delivery charges. We will also do advertisement on local newspaper and news channel to promote our business so that more and more people get to know about our boutique and people contact us to buy our stuffs.
